How it works
No special kit and no editing. A phone on the fence is enough.
Prop your phone on the fence behind the court and press record. Any phone camera will do.
Open PadelCut and pick the match video from your phone. It uploads in the background while you get on with your day.
PadelCut shows you the first frame. Tap the player that is you. That is the only thing it needs from you.
A few minutes later your coaching highlight reel is ready: your rallies, back to back, in a short clip. Send it to your coach straight from the app.
Who it is for
You know something is off in your game but you cannot see it from inside the point. A reel of your own rallies shows you what your coach sees.
Review a player's best rallies in about 5 minutes instead of watching a full 40 to 90 minute match. Every clip is a rally the player was actually in.
What makes it work
PadelCut listens for the rhythm of ball strikes to find where each rally starts and ends, and skips the walking, talking and ball collecting in between.
After you tap yourself once, the app follows you through the match and works out which shots were yours, so your reel is about your game, not everyone's.
Once your reel is ready, the full match video is deleted from our servers. Only the short clips are kept, and you can delete those whenever you like.
FAQ
No. A phone propped on the fence behind the court is all you need. Film in landscape if you can, with the whole court in view.
Uploading depends on your connection and the length of the match. Once the upload is done, your reel is usually ready within a few minutes.
Only you, and anyone you choose to send your reel to. We do not share your videos or clips with anyone else, and nobody at PadelCut watches them unless you ask us to help with a problem.
Yes. You can delete any clip in the app, and you can delete your whole account from the settings screen. The full match video is deleted automatically as soon as your reel is made. See the privacy policy for details.
PadelCut is free during early access. If that changes, we will tell you in the app first, and anything you have already made stays yours.
Yes. Before you upload, you confirm that everyone filmed is 18 or over and has agreed to be filmed. It is your match and your responsibility, so a quick word with your partner and opponents before you press record is all it takes.
Why we built it
We started PadelCut after sending a coach a whole match video and realising nobody has time to watch an hour of padel to find three rallies. Cutting it by hand took longer than the match. So we built the app we wanted: film, tap yourself, send the reel.
